This year the Maryland Kite Society is bringing in Robert Brasington to present two projects, a single line kite and a spinner. Robert's kite presentation is “Kindness of Strangers.”

His spinner is the “Bambino Macro Kinetico."

Robert says these projects can be made in several color schemes, and (if you plan to build them) he would like to know what color(s) you prefer. He will bring the parts in the right colors already cut out.
Ron Petralito of Wings Over Washington is also presenting. His project is an inexpesive kite made from butcher paper, straping tape and wood dowels. You won't believe how cool a kite can be made from a few bucks in parts. Ron’s kite, invented specially for this retreat, is called the “2011 MKS Koi Kite." (A picture can be seen at
