Does cold mean brittle frames?

I see a lot of video of people all bundled up and flying over the snow, but they sure look pretty experienced for the most part.  For those of us who are more prone to crashes, does the winter cold effect the strength of the carbon frames of these kites?  Just wondering if they become more brittle below freezing temps and I ought to think about having spare parts at hand flying in this weather.

I've noticed no difference in flying when ice builds up on the lower spreaders other than having to wear gloves! 

It's a good idea to have a couple of spare lower leading edges to keep you in the air in my opinion.

I would think the sail fabric would be more prone to being affected by the cold then the spars. But then I'm from California where it never rains and we just sit on sunny beaches all day with pretty girls in tiny bikini's        so what do I know?

Carbon frames are stronger at lower temps. But then, surfaces are harder as well.

Don't slam your kites into the cold hard  ground and you will be fine.

BBC shows you're warmer then us ... <edit, oh wait you still use Farenhiet too?>  No really I don't envy you, never been there but I think even here in Northern California at least in the Valley we are more moderate and a bit dryer then you overall. Then we do get to endure 110 degree summertime temps, I'd envy your location during those times. We play what we're dealt,
