Kites at the Skagit Tulip Festival ???

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

   With Erv:s shop gone we have no local kite shop here in Everett anymore.Erv always had a booth at the Tulip festival up north of us but i have no clue if he still is going to be there or if anyone will be flying kites there at Tulip Town this year.The festival should be starting soon so if you know of any flys there please post here...

The rumor last year when he closed the shop in Everett was that he (Erv)was planning to be there this year, again.  I understand he still has space at the Fest.

I'll see what I can find out.

I was flying at Kite hill yesterday and Erv reported to a fellow flyer that he was going to be there on Easter weekend for sure............I believe he has a booth set-up, but not sure...........we are going to try and head up there the following weekend and see what's what.  In previous years they let you in free if you were going to fly, and we will of course, have a couple of them flying machines with us.

The tulip fest website says "bloom dates according to mother nature".

The last three days have been wonderful to fly in   Warm and Sunny and decent winds at the hill, anyway.

We don't need no stinking Tulips to fly mon , but they do make an outstanding background for kite pictures

I hope spring is here to stay.......Snow three times in April is a bit much......I hear ya Jim
