Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Seeing that at least 3 contestants used it in the 2010 German Speed Kiting Contest, I decided to give the Lycos a try and it is awesome!

You forgot to mention, strangely silent in flight too....   Some strange dead spots within the wind window for the Wind Dances.

Above 25 mph  a Flexiofoil Sting 1.2  might be a tad faster.... if a bit more frenetic.  If Spring Spaniels could be flown....

I really like the simple black and red color scheme on the Lycos.

Looks like there's some pull in the upper wind range.... at least enough to worry the dog about whether he will have a ride home or look for alternate transportation.

Power Kiting - Lycos 2.5 Spiderkites

In light winds, looks to be a pussycat, with some luffing and wingtip folding.

Spiderkites-Lycos 2.5

Expect gusty, swirly, inland winds would provide you with some sudden  Huh moments.

In higher winds the Lycos 2.5 pulls, there's talk of a 3.0. A Lycos in that size that will definitely (but maybe not as fast) be a handful in stronger winds  Wink
