One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

as a visitor to Savers, Good Will Stores and the like I have noticed many newer golf clubs that don't have a metal shaft.  I guess some might be carbon or some other composite.  At the going price of a dollar or two, this might be material for small eddys or ??  Any idea as to their composition???

If there's one thing I know it's golf and golf clubs.  Most iron graphite shafts weigh in the 80-100 gm range.  Driver and wood shafts, although longer, tend to weigh in the 55-85 gm range.   Usually butt diameter is about 0.600" and tip diameters range from 0.335" - 0.370" depending if it is a wood or iron.  Cut them just like you would a carbon rod.
