Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The Aerostuff rods are rebounding - return to the "neutral" postion - very quick.

Oh really ?  Wink

I love 'Stuff spars, admire the sheer quality of manufacture but I'm not at all sure why they seemingly make a kite better. I haven't found a way to measure it yet and the engineer in me is frustrated by that.

It probably is magic then.

Mike.
I'm still learning about most of the materials used in kites.  Everyone seems to like aerostuff and I've seen people say they like them better than skyshark but how do they compare?  I Have a couple reframe projects in mind so any info is appreciated.

I've heard that about the AS silver rods. FWIW, I use the gold rods and the blue rods and haven't had any issues with them.

Silvers are considered the runt of an especially strong litter. Golds are nails tough, Blues make your (S)UL stop wobbling about all over the place and Zens.... the Scratch Bunnies use 'em so that's a pretty comprehensive seal of approval.

Even magic can be broken though, so don't expect miracles.

I'm really liking this kite. It flies more like its standard counterpart than any other high wind kite I've flown.
