Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Saw this on History International today. I had never heard of this. Maybe some of you have.

This is par for the course on the History Channel.

Whether or not she can do anything with kites has zero to do with what the ancient Egyptians did or did not do with them.  Her anthropological reasoning that lies at the foundation of this investigation is complete nonsense.

Currently, she is using modern (?!) materials and in particular, modern kites?  I hope she's at least using period rope...probably not.

What a waste of money and time.

Pure snake oil manufacture.

Way back when, GKPI was asked to replicate her kite using linen and hemp. Interesting project. The Thralls built the kite.

Problem is that she used the kite for drag rather than lift. And who was the "kite expert"??

Could have done the same thing with a sail.
