Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

If you have one of these how often do you fly it?. It's a pretty special kite.

I fly it like any other Rev. It's not like it's really rare or beautiful.

If I was worried about resale value I would have never assembled it. Even so, it's not likely to have much collector appeal years from now.

I have a special anniversay Rev 2/race rods only two made

thanks Ben Kiss

I don't know who has the other one  but I only flown it maybe 5 or 6 times ...not because it rare, because I have plenty of other custom  rev 2's to choose from.

Never flown it Allen, but was thinking the same thing. Never hurts to get opinions.

Hmm, I thought only 250 were made?  That makes it at least somewhat rare in my opinion.  Still, I plan to fly mine just as I would any other Rev.  I don't see myself ever selling it so why not use it?

250? In a market the size of this that makes them practically generic. With so many short run and unique Revs out there, this one is cool, but not that big a deal. I like mine a lot.

I've heard that some minor adjustment to the knots helps balance the control.  I'm not a good enough flyer to understand this first hand.  But just looking at the sail, it is apparent that for an expert flyer, it will not have the same balanced precision as a Pro B-Series for example.  The assymetry will cause one half of the wing to respond differently than the other.  I picked mine up second hand because my existing full sail was getting beat up.  Collectible? I suppose.  I fly mine just as I would any other std sail.  I haven't noticed that they're prices have been especially high on the swap.
