Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'm thinking about competing in the novice class. Ive never flown with anybody else let alone a comp!

you should i am doing novice class also....

Im giving it some thought!

trust me every just claps for you and makes you feel great. If you suck who cares, you just flew in public and did your best.  I am doing indoors also and that is alot harder.

My advice is "just do it".  The first time is the hardest, so get it out of the way.  And in Novice class, everyone is rooting for you - spectators, your fellow competitors (even the judges, to be honest), so there are no head games, egos, or attitudes to contend with.

I've never stepped on a competition field anywhere, in any class, without some amount of nerves, but it gets a lot easier after that first time.

I will keep that in mind, I have never flown with anybody before, so Im not quite sure where my skill level is. Guess there is just one way to find out! I have no kind of routine or anything, just thinking about picking out a song and flying around a little.

If anyone needs anywhere to stay at Wildwood, our roommates backed out so we have an extra double bed and a fold out couch up for grabs.  We like to share to cut expenses.  PM me if interested.
