Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hey the IT guys should appreciate finding weaknesses in the system. I think Steve has it on a major system. We might find a bandwidth limit on his account, shouldn't cash any servers, just might hit a wall.
 Huh

Go for it.  Not to worried about crashing as long as I get a backup run before it starts.
The chat client runs on the same server as the forum. As Mike noted I have always been curious as to how much of a load the chat can handle.  I guess we will find out.
As to the 170 users online ... I recall that the vast majority were "guests" and have always suspected most were bots.

Why don't we all log into the chat at 10:00pm central?

We should be there, Rhonda says that'll be 7:30 Pacific Time? We can bring all 7 PC's and phones online at some point if needed, 5 as guests only since I don't want to pollute the screen name list with a bunch of alternate ID's. Only the two screen named accounts into chat though. Minimum if we are still out & about we'll bring the 'Droids in. Be interesting to see what the members online list likes, I've never seen it with more then 3 lines full.

Yes, That would be 7:30 for pacific, 10:30 for eastern. We'll see what happens. Smiley

Also, it would be nice if you have multiple computers/phones to use those as guests like Mike is doing.
