One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Today at my local Patriot Park, winds were 15-20mph, temp around 70F.

The Enigma vented was on loan so I pulled out the following setup.

Katana Vented (vents partially closed)
100' x 7" Dia RWB tube tail
120' x 150# lines

There were several kids and families and many sub-$5 kites, a few diamonds of which
were actually flying surprisingly well.

I was just tearing the kite around the sky with a lot of tight spins with the Katana
buzzing, the lines whistling lightly and the tube tail looking like a curvy worm.

About an hour into the flying, a young lad (13 ish) came up politely by my side....

"Hey Mister."

I looked over and said "Yes?".

"You're making all of our kites look bad."

I would have let him fly the kite with me if his parents were around and did end up

letting several people fly the Katana. Sadly, I always have to insist that the parent

be present.

The young man asked several very good questions. We spoke for a few minutes.

I told him if he ever saw me there again and he was with his parents, I'd be happy

to let him make the other kites look bad. He smiled and left.

It was a very good day.

Here's the kite, but with a different tube tail.
