One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'm just organizing my magazine collections, and might be missing an issue of AKM...

Does anyone have Volume 11 Number 4 (Winter 1998), or did they skip this issue?

I know they published their last two issues in 1999.

Either way, I want to make sure my archive is complete.

Any help or insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

Steve had a couple complete collections for sale, but I think he finally offered a special and sold them. I noticed mine had gotten spread out but I'll try to take a look.

I was a long time subscriber to AKM and still have all the issues. Just checked and can confirm there was no Winter '98 edition.  The issues became less frequent towards the end and listed below are the final two years of publication (only three issues in '98 and the final two in '99):

Spring '98 (Vol. 11, No. 1)
Summer '98 (Vol. 11, No. 2)
Fall '98 (Vol. 11, No. 3)
Winter/Spring '99 (Vol. 12, No. 1)
Summer '99 (Vol. 12, No. 2)

Dear,
I´m sorry to highjack your topic but I have a question about American Kite Magazine and I could not find a better place to put it than this topic.
In one of the issues there was this article of a guy who made these gigantic wind sock and wheels. I remember he was sponsored by Carrington fabric if I am not mistaking to make the biggest wheel in the world and he did some work for a Levi´s commercial.
Does anyone know who I´m talking about and were I can find more information on his creations?

Had the good fortune to fly with Bob some years back.  Great guy.  Did some incredible inflatable ground displays too.
