I would like to make a Photo Slideshow using my Grandson's recent wedding photos.
Does anybody have a recommendation for a photo software that will allow me to
make a DVD slideshow that offers Transitions, Effects, Text, Animation, and Music?
I also need for it to be compatible with You Tube. I have looked at my local Staples, but couldn't find anything.......thanks.

Yes, I am running Windoz and I do have MovieMaker. The transitions are great, but lacks every other place. No animations, poor effects and I'm not sure if it is compatible with You Tube. Thanks for sicking me onto MovieMaker, because I overlooked it the first time I looked.
I am going to give MovieMaker a try at least.......thanks, both...Norm

Norm, I've been using Roxio Creator 2010 Pro, a little bit of a learning curve, but does just about anything you want to do with Pictures and Videos, it also has a load to feature to just about anything, For video editting I also use Cyberlink powerdirector.

Thanks John,

I purchased Roxio Creator 9 when I bought my computer. Good for burning CD's, DVD's, but not much in the line of a photo shop. My Roxio program will let me upgrade to Roxio 2011 for $69.99. It was a learning curve, like you said. I liked the drag to disk option. This is probably the way I will go. I have a year to get the DVD slideshow completed for the newly weds. My plans were to give them a DVD Slideshow for their first wedding anniversary. I'll probably hold off for 11 months to see if they are still married (reality) by their first anniversary date. Do you know if Roxio 2011 is compatible with You Tube? I'm not the sharpest knife in the computer drawer.
Thanks, Norm

It's Greek to me, but as long as it will work, who cares.

Hey Norm, when you get ready to put together this slid video or any other video and have any questions or help on this, just get hold of me, I'll help you as much as possible, I'm no expert but have put together a few videos, Setup account with both Youtube and Vimeo, Vimeo is a little less strict on music copyrights, The videos below I put together from numerous video clips, added transitions add beginnings and end frames with captions. I have also added links here on what the formats stand for. (mp4)   (mp4)

Geez...If my memory serves me correct I remember watching a video of you flying a custom WidowMaker when you first started flying not long ago. It was all you could do to hold it in a fade. Man, have you ever improved in a short time. Is it the trips to Chico, or a combination of Chico and practice...practice...practice? I am referring to the Vimeo video.
Thanks for your offer to help me with the video/slideshow. I already have a You Tube account. Thanks for the links explaining MP4 format/files. I have already read them. If I encounter a problem using my existing Windows MovieMaker, which does have excellent transitions I will be sure to contact you for some help.....thanks, Norm
