Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Dean and his wife put on a nice little kite festival in Idaho Falls every year. I attended last year and had a lot of fun. This year looks to be even better! Here is Dean's email:

Howdy everyone! Hopefully spring is here!

Kiting just for fun... will be held at Sandy Downs again this year at Noon on April the 25th. Should be lots of things going on through the afternoon. We will be building a kite train. Everyone that wants well be able to help by building a kite for the train.  We are also trying to do another laundry record, so bring something to hang from your kite line. Nemo will be there and he is 30' long!

Farmers insurance is donating and cooking hambergers for anyone that is hungry. They are asking that you make a donation to the Idaho Food bank for a berger. But they will feed any one hungry.

We are also asking everyone coming to bring a few can food items to the festival. The Boy scouts will be there collecting them for the Idaho Food Bank. We hope to collect 2000 cans!

We will have many other events and Demos going. Roy and Jay will be there flying Fighter kites.  Todd Copeland will be there from Utah flying some solo's and also a kite ballett.

There will also be a kids kite building clinic, running of the Bols and a Kandy drop for the kids ages 2-92.

Hope you can come.
