I did find in any wind that I like the brace up but in mixed air your right the middle seemed best. A very nice flyer even in some wind. I do think I will have to enlarge one.....  Stringfly <>+++++ [attachments older than 90 days deleted by admin] |

That's the kind of wind we get out here on Az. Today I played around with the upper or front spreader, it adjusts on the one I got. In very light swirly wind the kite would actually stand at attention 25' straight over my head. I got multiple circles today and it's a gas watching it glide upwind over your head until you pull it back. There is a learning curve! it takes really light movements on the lines, and getting your body into the right position, forcing it pulls the wind out and it falls. There's quite a bit going on to make these fly right, I've got a lot more respect for Bell for sure. I can fly it in my back yard and that's a definite plus. Don't know if stacking them would be as much fun Alfredo, maybe as the skills improve there could be something there. I love to see a video of some stacked ones.

Like Thief's, mine came from KTAI, and also has the hole for the spreader instead of the dihedral. Sounds like they also listened to the feedback and got rid of the weight, really no loss there. Can't wait to run into one of the production models on the field though, to see if the new spreader design makes much of a difference.

Well they do stack. Tried a pair today. Wind was really up a bit much but it worked by tying to the sewn in tab on back side to the next one. About 12 ft. apart. Now I need to borrow a friends three.  Stringfly <>++++ [attachments older than 90 days deleted by admin] |

Not sure yet on the frame but have a bunch of 2P skyshark rods, maybe for the spine and wing tips. Will have to go with something more flexable for the main and lower dihedral pieces. Will have to dig thru my rods.

Some gentle home flying testing on the big Laima. Winds have been rough all weekend. Wonderful glide though and nice and stable. Nice slow rotations like a Laima in slow motion. Rods are a bit small. Will probably have to go up some.

did you put in the second lower dihedral like on the newest generation? Did you make that slide-able as well???

Yes, it does have the lower dihedral brace (a standard one drilled for the spine) angled up and is slideable as well. Very stable shape for such a high aspect ratio.
