Hi K3 owners !  Wink

I'm looking for some frame measurements for the Aerie Kiteworks K3 :

- Spine : lenght and kind of tube

- Upper spreader : lenght and kind of tube

- Bow-battens : lenght (without caps if possible) and kind of rod

- Standoff : lenght (without caps if possible) and kind of rod

I'm also looking for two pieces of the old Icarex P-31 : colors purple/lila (I think it's called so ?) and black. That's for some repairs. The same colors as this picture (found on John Chilese website, it's not my kite).

Where is it possible to buy this today ? I need only about 15 x 15 cm (6" x 6") for both colors.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Ian, I sent Michel here, as I'm getting old, and it's been a very, very long time.  Wink

Is the Icarex the one with the large squares or small, pre-polycarb coating?

I have some black with the large rectangular ripstop squares, maybe even some of the earlier small squared Icarex in pre-polycarb, I can't recall if I used Icy for the applique or just went with Nylon though. The Purple large square I have is much deeper then yours though.

I have a K3 that looks exactly like the one in the photo.

However, I am driving to Kite Party in moments.

Please email me next week if you don't get the dimensions and I'll measure mine.

I'm off to fly on the beach for days. Ciao.  Grin

I can certainly help you with the black if no-one else steps forward. Yes, proper P31.

Well maybe the purple I have is similar, I was recalling the color on the table, in flight it appears close but then we have camera's and conditions not accounted for.

These are the old large square Icy, Polycarb coating.

Here a picture of my K3 sail.

I think it's P31.

Kind regards.

Many thanks John !

I like very much these vintage kites from Aerie Kiteworks, especially the K2/K3, the Mystic and the AirFX.   Wink
