Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The world just lost a truly great man, and many of us lost a dear friend. Ron was one of the only people who was part of every Kite Party. As it stands now, next year's Kite Party will be dedicated to Ron Despojado. I urge everyone who knew and loved him to please plan on attending. There will be no limits on registrations, all who want to fly a kite in his memory are welcome. That's all I have to say. RIP dear friend, you are missed and loved.
Your friend,
Dave Shenkman

Well said, Dave.

If Revolution doesn't make a Ron Despojado Commemorative Edition (and I hope they do), I'll be looking to get that all-white SUL Rev I'd been considering.  Maybe you might consider getting a box of those.

I'm already contemplating a couple of ideas we can implement as a group to honor Ron, and I'll report back once they solidify a bit.  Just some ideas to toss out.

I've got to say, in the midst of tragic news like this, it's really good to be part of the close community we have here.

Ron D. Memorial Revolution is an outstanding idea.

Some graphic showing "Quadzilla" seems appropriate.

Hopefully, one of the artistic Masterpiece people could make one.

Ron Bohart comes to mind.
