I have been interested in dual line kites for a while now (purchased one from the local hobby shop about 4 years ago) and I was just wondering if there is anyone in the Central Iowa area that would want to fly sometime?

Please let me know.
Thank you.

I was born in Omaha, NE.

My grandfather had a barber shop in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He would take me to his shop on a few Saturdays a year. I'd sweep the floors and get a haircut ending with Lucky Tiger Hair Oil.

When anyone says Iowa, my mind goes back to that time.

Thanks for the memory.

Good luck with your search.

What kite did you get?

I can't remember the name of the kite and I can't find the original sleeve it came in. I will try to post a photo tomorrow. The span is almost 7' and it came with quad line handles (which are in the original sleeve that I can't find).

I occasionally see people out flying dual line kites, but have never been in a situations when I can stop can chat.

I will be travelling to the Des Moines / Ankeny area in about 10 days for a family reunion.  I plan to have a few kites with me in the car.  If I can get away for a little and you are close by I will try to get in touch with you.

Dang! I saw this post late. I live about 2 minutes from Ankeny and I work in Ankeny, so that would have worked out perfectly...

Sorry to have missed you.  Back in Florida now.  I may try to get back up there to see family next year.  My family's farm in Cambridge would be a nice place to fly if it wasn't for all the beans and corn growing everywhere!!

I will fly with you and you will have a BLAST!

Lots of people there and those in my group are very fun.

Wanna join us?

Wow! Missed another offer. I don't know why I am not getting notified of posts to this thread.

I always get on and check when I have just been out flying my kite and thought, "It would be nice to have someone join me that actually knows what they are doing..."
