Hi all,

Unfortunatly, I broke one upper leading edge of my new Flying Wings Wala XL. 

I wish to replace this spar with the same original carbon of course.

It's 4 mm carbon frame. But is it Avia Sport frame, Stuctil, Exel, Epsilon,.. or "China" frame ?

Another problem...

The 2 leading edges of my Waala XL where not right glued and the aluminium ferrule was slipping around the spar ! I told that to Steve GWTW and I'm waiting for his replay.

The design on the Wala XL leading edge Pultruded rods could have a better design, I had immediately splintered the end of the rod that fits into the T, They use a solid steel wire rod to insert into the tub, (Way smaller diameter than the inside of the tube),and that allows the rod to be crushed more easily, Steve can most definitely get you set back up, the one side he did for me is still hangin in there, infact I need to order a new one for the other side being I broke that side last weekend.

Hi all,

The two upper spreaders of my Wala XL are reinforced (both sides).

I'll do the same thing on the upper side of the upper leading edges.

A diameter 2 mm (perhaps 1,5 mm ?) x 5 cm fiberglass rod will do the job I think.

The ID on that 4mm tube should be just about 2.5 mm.  I will try and remember to stick a length of that in so you can make reinforcements.
