One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Thats cool Geo.  I'm into wines myself and for some reason good cheese and good wine make a nice pair.

That is a skill I will ask you not to prove Tony Grin  So my quote for this event will be "May the wind at our backs not be caused by the beans (or cheese) we had for dinner" Smiley

The grounds keeper for the park lives next door. He said they pulled all the goals and the fields are wide open.

Cool no league tomorrow then.  Which field should we use then?  I've gotten to prefer the north field by the stadiums or the expansion area since ground wind is a bit more consistent not having the downgrade.

Cool and with the usual inland wind disruption that should put it in the 8-10 mph range for feel Smiley

Thanks to all that came out.  It was fun, good to have so many to fly with and meet some new faces.  I also found a pocket knife on the field so if anyone I didn't ask already, lost one let me know

A Great Day.
The winds were a bit stiff. They made the tricking more difficult and breaking stuff easier.
There was some talk of making it a monthly gettoghether. Possibly the second Sunday of the month so as not to conflict with Chico's monthly fly.

Yes, it was great to meet you all.  Was a nice turnout.

Just curious, did anyone happen to get a photo/movie of the Laser 9-stack?  I know it was only up for like 5 minutes but I thought I'd ask anyway, heh.  Man that thing gets tangled so easily!

Mike, I did not, but Jim and Tony had cameras out, they may have.
BTW, nice Thor flying in those big winds.

Thanks!  The Hammer was definitely a handful in those winds but it was still fun nonetheless.  I'm pretty sure my arms are 1" longer today.  Huh

Let me know how that vid looks.  I'd be interested in checking it out no matter how it turned out.

I saw a bit of you flying it. You handled it quite well!  Smiley
The stack looked nice too, sorry, I got no pictures of it..

Great time! Just a bit too far for regular day trips though.  Sad
But it was good to see you guys, and Paco "the dog" enjoyed it too.   Wink

I forgot to charge my cam and with a pretty much dead bat is doesn't focus well at all, so I didn't get much that was usable.  Here's a clip with the few stills i pulled and short in-focus clip I could save of Mikes Laser stack.  Not much else saveable so far but I'm still sifting through what I did get.
