Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

You know the're out there.... Huh

Those hideous sail designs, horrible colors. One mans masterpiece is another mans nightmare.

Here is your chance to post pics or descriptions of some of the most grotesque kites or sail designs that have ever plagued the sky.

This could get interesting Wink

I'll get the ball rolling with a light blue and orange WM that was posted not to long ago, can't seem to find the pic though..... But man was that UGLY.... Embarrassed

We had a contest in 2006. I won't bore you with the results, but here was an early ballot:

funny, I just bought the yellow red and green Sano SSL in your compilation... I'm not too fond of the colors, but couldn't pass for the price I paid!

What, no "Wonder Bread" (aka "Fisher-Price") Machine?

I'm deeply offended.

Hey, I liked that kite! The colors work with that panel layout.  Not many would.  Grin

See!  Not even in the same class as those in John's collage above.  I'd happily fly that Machine.  The others not so much  Roll Eyes

We FAliens had some sort of ballot too. We ranged across all number of lines. These were those chosen as the pick of the crop.

Quite how three of my kites made the list..... Sad

My optic nerves were unprepared for that kind of abuse.

Each of those kites represents what at least one person thought "was a good idea at the time".  Yikes.

I would if I could.  Rob Autrey is the proud owner of that........well let's just leave it at "that".

It was the first polyester-sailed Machine.  Made from whatever poly scraps I had, large enough to cut panels from.  Aesthetics were not a factor (obviously).
