Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I think its a beautiful kite Ron ... please send it me.
I would if I could.  Rob Autrey is the proud owner of that........well let's just leave it at "that".

It was the first polyester-sailed Machine.  Made from whatever poly scraps I had, large enough to cut panels from.  Aesthetics were not a factor (obviously).

I'll send you some scraps then ?  Wink

What about this one on eBay ?

Applique'd nipples (look closely) anyone ?

and here

Appliqued nipples don't bother me much.  Adding tassels to them would cross the line.

I don't think that would be appropriate for my public beach flying field.  Huh

here is Ed Shenk's words on this kite:
Quote
The "Angel" kite was derived from the work of Patric Nagel a well known photographer and artist for "Playboy". There are 8-10 copies of that kite and I remember selling 2 to people in California.

We had a contest in 2006. I won't bore you with the results, but here was an early ballot:

Proud to say one of those was mine.
Emphasis on the WAS, that's what I'm proud about.  It scared the rest of the kites in my bag!

That Delta Serpent In No Way belongs on that list. Nor the Outsider for that matter.. Or the Dot.

What is the matter with those people?

We FAliens had some sort of ballot too. We ranged across all number of lines. These were those chosen as the pick of the crop.

Quite how three of my kites made the list..... Sad
