I'm new the the stunt kite scene and will most likely need some pointers. I was hoping to find an existing group to join, but have been unsuccessful in finding one! Anyone in Austin on these boards?

There is a group in Dallas, DAKO, and I would be surprised not to find one still in San Antonio. With Zilker near by and a few other organized flys each year, I am sure that there is a group there somewhere.  Good luck and happy flying.

There is a team out of Austin, but can't remember the name. Fly in Zilker, someone will come by.

There's an Austin Based Yahoo group named "Central Texas Cloud Chasers" where most all of the Austin Area kite flyers have discussions about local, and state kite events and activities. Link is below.

The local stunt kite team is : Austin EOL.

Parts of Zilker look flyable ... there were ppl today with SLK's up.

There are other spaces which look more interesting - the Performance Arts Center on Lake Austin for example.
