One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I've been flying 2 line kites for a few years now and I'm intrigued by the quads.    I've found a place with a decent price on a Revolution EXP.    Anybody have any thoughts on this kite for a beginner quad line guy?

The Rev EXP is a outstanding kite. You will have a wonderful time with it. My advice to you is watch the DVD that comes with it a few times don't get discouraged or frustrated remember your out flying to have a great time and to learn. If you ever have a question there a lot of people on here that will be more then willing to help you.

I recommend you verify that it is a true rev, heard of lots of problems with the "China" clones

kiteking,
That is a very good point Thank you for pointing that out. If your buying a true Revoultion Kite it will say it on the kite and on the packaging. How much are they asking for this Rev that you found and does it come with lines and handles? What is the name of the place your getting the "Rev EXP" From?Huh Look them up online.

The price is $174.   The site is IntoTheWind.com and I've been doing business with them for several years.

Listing from the website....
It includes quad-handles, a 37" case and an excellent training video. Made of ripstop polyester. 7'-10" x 2'-7". 8.6-oz. Use 90/90-lb. Quad-Line Set.

Hmmm.......Looks like the line doesn't come with it.

Personally... IMHO...

I would suggest a 1.5 Rev as your first quad... BECAUSE... They're a bit easier to learn on, are more easily maneuverable, and most of all... in the future you'll wind up buying one anyway!

I've been a Rev owner for almost 2 weeks now! Grin  I bought a used 1.5 via the Swap Meet and love it. I'm amazed how much it has learned in this short time. Wink
