Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Well those are more 3/4 axel's then half, you're almost there Wink  I'm not going to critique them as most of mine look the same, Todays deeper sails and tail weights traded off a bit of those elegantly flat, full 360 axels, but if you can coax the nose to start to fall forward in the stall just before the axel input many will still do a classic flat 360.

And you learn them both ways because it's a more elegant way to get the wrap out, plus that 3/4 axel is the perfect setup to move that trick right into a cascade, you'll need the off hand axel to do those. It took me forever to get a left handed axel down, I was old school and flew hands in front, once I got my left arm to my side and did them with a down & back pull my left hand axels were better then my right hand ones. You're way ahead of me in that respect as I see you altready fly with your hands to the side, it'll come, once it does you'll own it.

At least you don't have to unlearn cross-chest pulls! Self-taught in pre-video days created some bad habits while learning the axel. With retraining to keep hands at the sides after reading forum topics and seeing videos, there's no knocking my hat and glasses off, no punching the face, no line snags on shirt buttons, and no more soprano voice ... will, most of the time!
