Been making some stuff thought I'd share.

Build 4 was 2 Fighter kites.  They fly but I don't think I made them right, they don't spin very fast or at all sometimes.  Surprisingly really fun and entertaining. 


Build 5 was a Helix.  Saw it on someones facebook and had to build one.


Build 6 was another Quartz sail to replace the first one.  Surflite material on first sail had too much stretch,  this 3/4oz nylon should be better.


Build 7 is a B'zar 2011.  Sail is Nylon so hopefully that wont change its characteristics too much.  Hopefully I build it right.  Frame will be here tomorrow if not sometime next week.

Well designing them is a whole different beast.  But I do enjoy building them, however quality has a long way to go.

Untitled: it looks like the spreaders are not long enough for the fighters?   I know that you want to have those skins tight!!!!

looks good all framed up!  What spar did you use for the spine?  I know the plans call for a p2x, but they've not been available

I got a P2X.  it is framed to spec.  saved a few bucks and got P200 blem and just non painted nitro strong.

Interesting standoffs.  They look like shape-shifters - are they adjustable?

I'm sure you could adjust them, but I think they were placed like that to "even the pressure on the sail"(from the B'zar 2011 site).

Winds finally let up and got some nice wind today.  Got a chance to go out and fly.  My skills aren't good enough to judge a kite but I must say that I liked the B'zar 2011.  Tricks I know where all doable and some I been having trouble with I managed to do.  Slots and Taz I usually end up wrapped but I managed to get some Slots and even some Taz today.  Here's some video of today.
