One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I have been looking for one of these for a while, I am sure that it is quite rare by now, but I feel pretty confident that there are a few lying in bags out there that are not flown often and would like a new home! Grin

Because of the confusion of the model, pics of the kite would be a plus. They seemed to hit popularity in the early 90's.

Thanks to all and great winds.

Windswept kites (windsweptkites.com) has a used kite department called "the yard sale" and I found this in the list.

Thanks all for the input.  The one that 'theif' has is made by Green's and is a very nice kite as well. However there are 3 or 4 variations of the Waldof kites.  This one I am looking for was available in the late 80's and very early 90's.  It is primarily diamond shaped if you stand it on end, but it has a miriad of facets when you look at it from different directions.  It is about 62" by 74" and was commonly called the Waldof Superstar.

Is this what you are looking for?

Or this?

Pretty sure Rob's (Thief) kite is a Waldorf.

I fully appreciate the ability of trees to attract kites. They have special powers that way.

Skitch,  It is not the bottom one, and I cannot see the top image, so I can't say if it is or not.   "theif's" is a Waldof but it is not the one that I am looking for.  Thanks for the referral however.  "theif" is a great guy to work with.  Very fair and honest and knows his stuff!!
