One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Anyone flown on Bald Head Island, NC ?

Looks like we'll be heading there shortly for a break.

Didn't get to fly, but its got some big beaches!  You have to go down to the far end.  There's a point you can go to and have water on three sides.  At the end of Station House Way is a public beach access and around the corner going south is a Gov't house that is seldom occupied.  Only about 10 people on the whole section of beach at the point when I was there.  A great looking place to setup kites.  Oh doesn't the guy who runs the Wrightsville fest live on Bald Head?

I'm envious!!

Mike lives in SE Wilmington. A lot of us wish we could afford to live on Bald Head Island!

Well it is very pleasant, but the winds are really pretty brisk most days.

Better for kite boarding than dual lines TBH.

Quite why the winds are stronger that Wrightsville is a bit of a mystery, but strong winds are common a/c to the locals.
