One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Might be fun to put some face with all these names. Depends on when and where.

I guess no one want to come out and play. I have not been flying very long so I don't have a long list of favorite spots yet. Although I do love flying on a sandy beach on lake Superior miles from anyone. That place is just a little too far for a day trip so may be you have a closer place in mind.

I have not found anything good in the south east yet. I have not been to the thumb area since i was a kid. Maybe someone will add some info about that area.

Muskegon has a nice open area for flying. If you go south from the park, the dog beach usually isnt all that occupied. But you gotta watch your step.

IIRC, South Haven also has nice wide open spaces. There a literally hundreds of county and city beaches strewn along the left side of MI that are not very well known or visited.

Id love to commit to a date to go fly..

I'm in- can't believe I saw this just now haha. Usually I work weekends, so I'd have to know awhile in advance.
