Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Not sure if anyoine here uses it, Sage tv has been acquired by google :'(
As a long time user of sage tv I'm worried that I'll get hosed in the takeover
Good software, worked well on windows and linux. I just hate to see it become part of a giant monster that will screw it up

With everything Google has screwed up over the last few months I wish you luck. I WAS a big Android fan, then they started forcing updates to their applications on you, after a couple bad experiences I would cancel the download and read the reviews only to see a 100 posts about how the update was trashing everybody. But you could not keep them from happening unless you left the phone turned off. They did it again just Friday and this time they gave no way to even know that it was happening, the update has totally trashed the Latitude App which we used. Their News & Weather app, which I used multiple times daily has become a big drag on the phone and many of the articles they link to just lead to sites you must register at before you can view them. Others have pop over advertisements that can not be dismissed on the android browser to see the page, or the worst yet to the Washington Post which for some reason crashes the whole phone and erases your settings about half way through the page load.

Auto update to the Chrome Browser trashed Flash on the web for over 2 months, no response or fix from Google despite forums full of pleads for help. No way to revert to the working version even if you had managed to catch the install files it would silently update to the broken version as soon as your computer found an internet connection.

Something is being added to Google products & services that is more valuable to them then having happy customers.

I smell something rotting at Google these days.

They are great at search, mail, calendar - I use all these, but consumer-wise they are still a bit rough around the edges even after all these years.  For example, consumers want folders to manage their email. I don't care if tags are better or not, it's not what they are accustomed to or want.

They have the brains and $ to become a more consumer-product company, but they don't have the mind-set.  I've used Apples iOS for years now without a single issue - they built it from the ground up as a consumer product that will just work.

I have big hopes for what Google is doing and I hope they figure this out.  A company with their resources has no excuse for the fragmentation that they have allowed to grow in their new Android platform.
