Hello there,
I am new to flying and own a Hypnotist. I think it is a great kite to learn tricks on for the price, I am new to flying (3 weeks) and today I was able to pull off snap stalls, and a few nice slides. Some more experienced pilots on here will help you and give you more insight than I can. I am a proud owner. Wink

I rather like the Hypnotist even compared with higher end kites.  It is very forgiving, but can pull off all of the stock tricks quite well.  I find that I go to it for learning stuff, because it can take some abuse and I feel like I can learn stuff at a reasonable pace with it.  So based on that I would say it is a good starter kite for tricking.
