One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Jon entered "UofM" hospital today for major surgery for hip replacement.  Cry

He will be down for awhile and a lot of rehab in the future.  Thought it would be nice if the kite world sent him cards of "Get Well" nature.  E mails are easy and can work, but cards from around the world would be nicer.  He deserves a $2.00 card.  Singapore,England,Australia,Ireland,Germeny,USA,...
Everyone fly's his kites.

Hurry and get well my friend....

Jon and Marieanne Trennepohl
Kites and Fun Things

Plymouth, MI 48170

This is the kite store address... If you need something fixed..He does it.  How much did it cost..Oh!! nothing. S&H..

I suppose someone could start a new get well link here on line... He'd read it when he is better...  hope I am not out of line on this.

I will do my best to get a couple cards out to Jon and his family.  He more than deserves it!  I hope and pray that all goes well.

Not sure how long he'll be in Hospital, but I'm sure it will probably be at least a week, it would be cool if we knew what room and send them all to his room.

Ted just had one done and was out of the hospital in a couple days with no stay in rehab which used to be the norm, it's still a pretty invasive proceedure though.

Wishing Jon a speedy rehab and large improvement in his "Getalong"

I just spoke with Jon on his cell phone and he sounded good, upbeat, and confident of a full recovery. He did say he will undoubtably go thru a lot of rehab. I told him that kiters were speaking well of him on GWTW Forum, and he appreciated it.

Jon just called about 15 mins ago. He's out of the hospital and picking up prescriptions with Marieanne, and headed home. Smiley
