Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I've got a new kite, a stunning Sea Devil, thanks to my wonderful friend Mr. Geezer and have only been able to fly it a few times - so far.

I had this whole morning to go fly, and there is nothing out there, yes I remember the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy, but now it's Dang The Wind Gods because this is happening over and over for me.

Working on getting my back and knee operating again, I'm unwilling to go out in much wind at all so I don't have to move too fast or flail and do a lot of footwork until things get better, which they are doing but slowly.

So it's lovely out there but the morning is gone, I avoid the afternoons now because it gets to crowded and parking can be far away which I avoid.

Anyway, I've been reading here but not much to say because I haven't been able to get up in the air.

But my bag is now a permanent fixture propped up by the door.

It is a running joke in my family that the wind dies to nothing whenever I want to go out and fly.  Even if I check the weather webpages and viewcams at the various beaches I like the wind will die by the time I get there.  I am cursed by the wind gods but that doesn't stop me from trying.
