Hi to all
I really enjoy in my Sea Devil standard custom kite.  :)It has nylon sail -the kite is so nice on the lines-nice feel. Really unique feel.
Thinking to order new one, the same kite- SD std. (for learning harder tricks, to be in my car in small pack ready to fly were ever I go, holidays, learning someone if he like to try....all around kite).
I don't have experience about same kite but different sail,  nylon or Icarex option.
Any experince from You?
Yes I know_Sea Devil is Sea Devil with nylon or Icarex. But any report about difference touch. I m really connect with nylon model. Not sure about Icarex.
I'm little bit (a lot  ) scared that with Icarex I will lost that nice touch of SD nylon version.

Hmmm, this is hard.

It's hard because I think as a standard wind model, there are lots of things about the nylon that are great. 

If you are going to upgrade, you should do it only if you need a UL.  If you are connecting with what you have, you don't need to replace it.  Compliment it with a kite that will extend your flying wind range.

The problem you face with the Nylon, especially with a virtually one panel sail Kite like the SD, is that Nylon will stretch over time. So your connection with the kite as it is now will be lost later as the sail becomes somewhat baggy

I would buy the Icarex version as that will stay the same a lot longer.

Icarex is a more advance fibre than Nylon.  Nylon gets heavier when wet.  I prefer Icarex since it will stretch less in the long run.  Less variable is better.

I don't think you will be able to tell a difference in flight characteristics. I have owned both.

Icarex is a more durable fabric i.e. more fade and water resistant, with less stretch.
