One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The New Jersey Stunt Kite Championship this weekend starts with a fun fly on Friday and the competition starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday.

The forecast looks really good. The temperature and wind speed look real nice so far. Liberty State Park is a great place to fly with a nice steady wind off the water. It's a huge place so there's plenty of space to fly.

I hadn't volunteered to help before so all I know is that I'm helping to set up the field Saturday morning. If there's no need for any more help, I'll do some flying.

Rob: I might consider going on Friday but it's a lot of driving and gas money and I have to get up at the crack of dark Saturday morning. I'd be more inclined to go Friday too if more people are going to be there. I'd probably want to get there early afternoon and leave before rush hour.

For anyone that's gone to the fun fly on Friday, what time do people show up?

I plan on getting there by 11am, and staying for a few hours, leaving around 3pm to try to beat traffic home. It's not the miles, it's the traffic that keeps me from going there more often. I have to drive straight through Manhatten to get there...    Shocked

I'll be there with Jim Cosca early Friday afternoon for sure, (hopefully early in the AM!)  A bunch of people will also be on-site with us.  Come out and enjoy the day, fly some OPKs and try out some new stuff, techniques, modifications & general foolishness.
