Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I would've surprised everybody and said a Rev 1 for purely logical reasons since it would be the most usefull in that situation. But you defined a Delta Wing type, hmmm... Widowmaker or Exile ... I'm thinking Exile, no Widowmaker, better in high winds ... OK Widowmaker.

I know nothing about Lost so I'm not really sure what were talking about but if we are talking one kite only.

Then for me it's a

Fearless Vented Light
There is no other trickable (all about tricks for me) kite that I know of that will work in more conditions than the FVL Grin Plus it's just so tricky good Wink

Nope after a short flight (drive in my case) and pondering it  it would have to be my Exile, both would've been in the bag so it's a matter of which one to save. Nothing strokes my appreciation of simple design, workmanship and attention to detail like a Blue Moon kite. Plus the memories of the too few hours I've enjoyed working and visiting with Mr Ken McNiell that any BMK brings back. Plus the years I've spent with Rhonda who designed and bought me the kite.

Final answer?  ...  BMK  Exile

Winds are as unpredictable as any beach, but are generally smooth and not too strong or weak except for rare storms perhaps.  Say on any given day, you get a few hours of SUL wind in the morning, then on to a smooth 5-8mph for most of the day, and ending with 8-14 for a few hours.

You get all the parts that you need, so no need to pick a standard or vent simply because the spars are likely to last longer (not break) when you really want a UL.
