One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hello - I purchased a used computer with tons of  great software, windows 7, IE8 etc.  It being a great deal and very new, I got it, I wonder if there is a way to delete , previously visited sites that might be inappropriate without reformatting.  In other words is there a program , that I can download to delete this stuff.  I plan to give it to a college bound family friend.

thanks in advance

If your talking about clearing browser history, windows has that capability

I.E. click tools then Internet Options, Browser history select delete

Firefox 5.0 click "Firefox" in the upper left go to history, click on clear history

another cleanup tool is "Disk cleanup" type this in the search box after clicking start. Check all boxes and click OK

if you are wanting to delete other files, give more info

It would be a better gift with a clean OS install. If the machine has been on the net and visited potentially inappropriate sites, the chances of if having some bugs are high.

ccleaner is a great tool, I have also used Advanced System Care to clean many machines.  Both will work for cleaning up browsing history.
