One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

My wife took this shot from our bedroom early in the morning,

I opened up a small trail  with a weed whacker from my backyard to the flying field.  It is actually a deserted farmland but my neighbor mowed it and created the field, and the owner of the farmland never complains.

So, it takes me less than a minute of walk from my house to the flying field. Smiley

The only downside is that I cannot fly there when the wind blows from the south, southeast or east as it is blocked by the houses and trees, and I fly pretty much on my own with my IPod music on.

Nice to have a field off your backyard.

Of course, I would probably get even fewer of my house projects finished if that were the case for me!  Smiley

Yes it is.
Sounds like my flying field.  Just a 30 second walk from my back door.  Can fly in winds with North in the direction, but anything south is blocked.  Lucky for me the wind almost always blows from the NW. Smiley
