Getting them to fly

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I was thinking about getting a duel line and a single line kites so that I could let bystanders fly and maybe infect them with the kite bug. I was curious what duel and slk you would sugguest. thz

if you have decent wind, a flying wings beetle, or a prism nexus would be two nearly indestructible choices for the dual line.

for single line a rok would be a great choice. they're impressive in the sky and are pretty stable. maybe one of these?

i've not personally flown any of those kites but i have seen a few nexus at the park take a severe beating and come back for more. have heard similar stories of the beetle. a couple of the guys at the fly field also have rok's, just not one of those particular variety, but i always admire how well they fly.

hopefully someone with first hand experience will share. i just wanted to get you rolling. it's quite nice of you and i'm hopeful you can convert one or two into flyers.

I can't recommend an SLK as they are not really my thing, but for a dual line what about the Premier Addiction? Solid carbon frame, light pull, flies very nicely and very tricky if you want but almost indestructable.

if you have a bit of wind you cannot go wrong with the quantum. you will enjoy fling it also. as for slk lottsa color is good or something that you you have to tend might be fun
