One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Arrived in Long Beach, Wa safe & sound after 21 hours in the saddle. Took the scenic route up the Oregon Coast and stopped into Gomberg's NW Kite's in the Lincoln City Outlet Center. The Washington State International Kite Festival starts here in Long Beach tomorrow with Trains & Arches.

7 days of kite flying, good friends and Long Beach. If we get into taking pictures this year (And I think Rhonda plans to) I'll try to get some uploaded to share.

To start, the view from the Penthouse, our home away from home. By tomorrow the sky on the right of this picture, over the trees and the large house will be filled with kites, many of them thanks to our good friends Team Suspended Animation, check them out on Facebook, anybody who needs a 4x4 Ford F350 Dually Crew Cab and a 24' trailer to go to a kite show is a Serious kite flier, and these guys roll in with 3 or more rigs. You only thought your bag was full.

Thanks so much to our friends who help make this possible for us, we'll get you up here again one day, one way or another. We're off to explore the Peninsula for the 100th time, it never gets old.

Oooh!  I'm jealous.  I've only been to Long Beach 3 times, I wanna get back there soon!

I hope the sky turns blue for you.  Have a great week!

Hope we get to run into you Steve, nothing more beautiful then the northwest coast.

Got some of Mondays pics uploaded, Trains and Arches, and a bit of festival flavor. Winds have been a bit higher then I care to fly sport kites in so our time has been spent visiting old friends and meeting some new ones.

Helped indoctrinate a new family of kitefliers in individual Rok fighting today, I don't think they had ever flown a kite before, the daughter ended up placing third place. I teach better then I fly ... LOL. They came back and flew as family in the team battle too since they had so much fun earlier. Celebrating their 14th anniversary in Long Beach and stumbled on the festival, heard the invitation to come fly with kites provided and decided to join in. I love it when I get to give a noobie a few tips and watch them place.

All the pics link to the full album

mikenchico,

Nice WSIKF pics.  I miss being there. Any good dual line wind?

Ray Bethell looks the same as he did 15 years ago. He's the most hard core kiter that has ever lived.
