One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

2 piece - if you go on the JoE site under 'Tech' you can find the full frame and bridle specs.

the UL has got a 3-piece-LE!
STD and Vent 2-piece (and SUL?)

and all talons have got a 2-piece-spine

The newer STD framing is much the same as the UL, 3-piece consisting of an ULE, LLE and an extension piece in the middle housing both ferrules I call an MLE (Emily).

It does away with annoying wing tip extensions and simplifies spar replacement since the MLE has both ferrules set in it.

SUL has a 2-piece LE, a longer ULE (with ferrule) and a normal length LLE.

The Vent still retains wing tip extensions because I add weights to them.

Hmmm.. Tech sections are somewhat out of date  Embarrassed
