One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Some new sound to fly to............ Diana Krall ...............  This was three days ago.  Flew today and tried some new stuff and it worked.  I did some right side 540's and I did a fade to turtle to fade to turtle and lazy susan back to turtle... and it seemed to roll up on itself..Is that correct ?? as I came out of it .. It rolled and unwound itself. To right side up Huh
I think ..   Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed  Enjoy video..

Heyo Joe,
No, that's not supposed to happen. The 'Lazy' in a JL is just a 1/2 lazy with no roll up. Sometimes the WMUL (very rarely) and the Ocius SUL do like to flop over into a roll up though if you're not careful. Maybe just just a LITTLE less slack if you're going all the way around, or help the 2nd wing come around by just tensioning that line as it's coming towards you (if you pull left, as the right wing comes around give it little tension and guide it towards you). I'm almost always tensioning the far wing as its coming towards me to prevent roll ups on the Ocius SUL during lazies, and only when the WM is flying in its lowest part of the wind range. If you're going to start learning the JL, out of all your kites, begin learning it on the WM or the Solus (Standard) and then move to ULs and then the Ocius SUL. Standards are usually the most forgiving with stuff like this. Just my 2 cents!  Smiley

is there something wrong with the frame rate? - it gets incredibly choppy at a few spots there - hard to watch.

Diana Krall has a few good songs out. She's quite a good jazz/blues singer.   I agree with ADX on the slack idea.  TOo much too fast after the lazy input in a sense creating a rotating two pop roll up.  I'm working on something similar from a snap  lazy.

Hey Joe...
I'd agree with the too much slack theory, but hey, if you can control that move and make it look delibrate, it's a trick in my book.
Too much slack...  Cheesy  I wish I had that problem. Most of my failures root back to having too little slack. If the going gets shaky, my knee-jerk reaction is to plant my feet and do anything to keep the kite from crashing. Kind of goes against the whole tricking thing, which I see as a series of controlled almost crashes !  Shocked
Nice music choice, BTW.

If you have not gotten a  Ocius Sul yet... This video shows the smooth slowmotion without any wind.  If you home town is cheap on wind... There has not been one day I could not fly all season beacuse of No Wind.  I have posted a number of video's walking across the grass at the beach... Ocius sul..a cheap price to pay for Wind.
