We don't really speak of Level One Kites too much on the Forum.

But here in Las Vegas, we have been anxiously awaiting Mark's Black Pearl. In the meantime, Mark purchased a Jumping Jack Flash SUL and loaned it to me for some photos. I own a standard JJF and was looking forward to flying the kite. The JJF is one of the very few sub 7' kites that I actually enjoy flying and slapping around.

The review will have to wait as the combination of high temperatures and low wind has turned me into a woosy (should have been woozy, and still incorrect) wussy as of late. The pictures of this kite were quickly taken in my backyard.

But, I thought this might be a chance for you closet Level One geeks to post a picture and/or tell us about these beautiful imports.

Several photos start at the linked shot below:

It was the heat. I was woosy so couldn't think of wussy.

Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow Jim.  Smiley

had the chance to fly this one a couple of weeks ago in slight breeze and quite enjoyed it. for a kite which flies so well in light winds it had plenty of inertia when needed to complete tricks. it's also great at flic flacs; it comes out of the flare beautifully despite being so light.

it only needs a breath of wind and is really a lot of fun.

thanks to mark for sharing his pretty kite.

Flew the Black Pearl at Wildwood this year.  The first Level One kite in a long time that put a smile on my face, and made me come back for more.

A *few years ago...while talking with our Johnny B, I asked him what was his favorite all time kite to "play with?"
He laughed and at that time...his answer was quick to say that it was his "Jumping Jack Flash."

Couple months back happen to be at kite store and a guy walk in to buy a WM or Ocius asked me a few questions.  Turned out he is from Germany..He is here for three more weeks working in a city called Novi about 7 miles from kite store.  He had never heard of Jon Trennophol but did know the kite name.  He was in Heaven and didn't know it.  We invited Torsten to fly with us on Wednesday nites. of course he showed.  We have had fun all summer with him.  In 8 months or so he has gotten HOOKED...built two kites by himself. ( Geek Engineer).. std and Ul.   He also has with him... Deep six ?? and Black Pearl...  He lives near Level One.  When he meet Jon is was a pleasant surprise for him.  Got to fly the "Black Pearl".  Very nice kite Torsten is able to trick it pretty good.  Best part of this experience is We have an "in".  Torsten can send them to us when he leaves.  He wants a new Solus so we are working a deal.,.. The little Creep-O gave it a good spanking.  But I am checking the price on it... Not bad investment.  ( <<<----Vertigo compulsive kite buyer) Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
