Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Thanks for all the replies I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem, sometimes I find my self in front of the computer looking at the Wind Speed site looking at where I can go to fly, I found my self the other day driving an hour & half to sit for an hour to wait for the wind to subside a little, then after the wind didn't die down I drove home with no flight time

I fully appreciate the ability of trees to attract kites. They have special powers that way.

You need to learn how to work it John. Before I ordered my vent I had my wife walking outside on windy days saying "this is why you need a vent, right? You better order one."   Cheesy
