Repairing Techno kite

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Hello all, new member to forum here I searched for techno and did not see any repair/fix info.

I just was given a techno by a friend that is only doing kitebuggy/traction kiting now.  The kite has a cracked joint/spar holder.  It is one of the ones for the upper crossbar, and is cracked where you install the crossbar.  picture atttached

It does not appear this would be very difficult to replace, but I do not have any idea where to look for parts?  I am in Tacoma, WA, if there are any shops with parts local that would be great, but internet shopping is also a "hobby".

APA Leading Edge Connector

I just found a local kite guy I am going to try as well, he has new tech sleeving kits, so hoping he has some parts too

If I may translate into kite speak:

"The kite has a cracked joint/spar holder.  It is one of the ones for the upper crossbar, and is cracked where you install the crossbar."

The kite has a cracked leading edge connector.  It is one of the ones for the upper spreader, and is cracked where you install the spreader.

Sometimes having the lingo down makes ordering the right part easier.

So what you need is an upper leading edge connector for a New Tech Techno.

An APA "D" fitting is what you are looking for.
