Converting HQ Flowform kite to dual-line flying?

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

I hope this isn't sacrilege in this forum, and maybe this is a very silly/stupid idea, but does anyone know whether a HQ Flowform kite can successfully be converted to dual-line flying? From the pictures I've seen on the internet, the bridling system doesn't look too different from the Nasa Wing I have, so I wonder whether separating the left and right set of lines, and putting handles on each set will lead to a steerable kite ...

Many/Most dual line foils are cross bridled, that is a certain number of lines cross from right to left. The problem with simply bridling the right side to the right handle and left side to the left handle is you may simply pull down one side or the other and not really tilt the kite as needed to reduce pressure on one side and increase it on the other as needed for turning. Also most controllable foils are curved where the flowform has a flatter surface which won't trap pressure as well for turning.

Having said all that give it a try, theories are meant to be proved wrong as well as right

you could probably make it move side to side slowly, but it would most likely collapse if you tried to do loops with it

One of the funnier things I have seen was when Rob was flying an Octopus on dual lines.  I really should have gotten him to try to loop it

with the HQ FloForm there is only one line of bridle lines....unless you add some there is no way to get that kite to go anywhere except for up.....
