Folks, there's a relatively local kite festival in Cambridge, MD (Eastern Shore) on this Sunday. Ordinarily, a number of us do this festival, but this year it conflicts with the OBSKC and some regular attendees will be out of town. Regardless, a few folks plan to go fly at Cambridge, but they sure could use more fliers to help fill up the sky and make the event. The event will officially run from 12:00 to 4:00, but we usually arrive early-mid morning and fly all day. I've attached some information below about the location.

This event is at Sailwinds Park in Cambridge, MD (about one hour east of Annapolis). It is a nice little park on the Choptank River, and is a GREAT place to fly. The folks are friendly, there is a comfy visitors center with restrooms, and there is usually a food vendor on site for the festival. Further, there's a WaWa and restaurants very close by.
It's not hard to find. Drive east on Route 50 as if going to Ocean City; as you cross the bridge over the Choptank River coming into Cambridge, the Sailwinds Visitor Center is visible to the right just next to Route 50 on the east bank of the river. There's a huge triangular canopy there that looks like a big sail. Once you're over the river, turn right at he first light you come to, then turn right again on one of the small side streets to come back to the visitor center. I think there are signs there. It's basically doing a big squared off u-turn to the right once you cross the river. See attached and this Google map link:
