Hello,

Does anyone here have any practical flying experience with the HQ Silent Dart 60 from their "Retro Line? " Is it more than a pretty face? I imagine it may not trick so well (or at all) but I am intetested in stability and precision.

On a side note, I risk showing my age but I still have a hard time with the 90s being considered "retro."  Wink

Best regards

It is a quick kite for its size, strong pulling and pretty in the sky. Its flight characteristics are old school, no tricks worth mention. It is more along the lines of carving up the sky.

Hmmm... Many thanks for the reply. Being an old guy, those seem to be the qualities I am looking for.

In general, is HQ build quality decent? I've not bought a "new" kite in a while (vintage stuff doesn't count).  The last frame kite I bought "new" was a Hyperkites Hot Wing (and I can't even find a picture of that model online)  Cheesy

Thanks, again, for the information.  I appreciate the reply.

Warmest regards

Well, I was unable to resist it. This is a big, powerful kite. It looks like a stained glass window in the sky. It pulls like a freight train in stronger winds.  It does not handle variable wind very well. But in a steady breeze it is quite nice, if a bit of a work out, to fly.

Thanks for all the help :-)
