Anyone know where to get ferrules for the Revolution SLE wrapped rods?  Might start tinkering with some projects and want to pick up some of these.  I've checked all the regular "kite parts" places and am not seeing anything that large.  They are ~.4350-.4375 OD, hollow carbon and 5" long I think.

Is Rev the only source?  I suppose I could try removing them from existing rod, but would rather not if I can get them easily enough.

thanks,
  Mike

The Rev ferules are not hollow.....at least that I have seen.  I could probably get you some from Rev.  How many do you need and I can get them added to my next order.

Hmm.. sure?  These appear to be hollow.  Wink  All the SLE ferrules I've had were hollow.

+3 - that got a huh? from me too, but I hadn't gotten a chance to look yet.

I bought the SLE's for my original Rev 1 thinking that since I only fly it when the winds are higher they might be more suitable. Went back to the 4 wrap .250's after one fly.

I'm sure Kent just missed the keyword "SLE" there.  Smiley

Ok, my bad.  I was thinking the standard ferules (1/4" rods) not the SLE.

Ah, gotcha.. no worries.  Speaking of the 1/4" rods, they just use the .240 ferrules, yes?  I'd have to look/measure again but I'm guessing the 4" variety.

thanks,

Sounds like 11 mm pultruded should work as a SLE ferrule (0.4331).

Ah, the infamous 11mm rod/tube that I can't find anywhere.  Heh.  Maybe I should just cut up my Hyper 16 spar that broke and use that for ferrules.
