Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I am a huge fan of Google+ and was thinking about making a circle for fellow kite fliers.  my email is brosenberger325@gmail.com and would welcome anyone else on G+ that wanted to add me.

The main reason I started on Facebook was that lots of kite people where there. Why switch?

I haven't found any compelling reason to use G+. The same people are on FB, right? Very few I know have dumped FB. I really don't want to have to support two systems. One is more than enough time burnt in a day.

What makes you a huge fan of G+?

There are lots of things I like about it, but nothing that makes me want to be an early adopter.

Well, good question to which I don't really have a solid answer other than I am a Google fan in general.  I do have an android phone so they work great together along with the fact that Google has vid chat build in.  It's like skype but for up to 10 people.  Google+ is also linked to my picasa so any pic that my phone takes is immediately uploaded to picasa and shareable through google+ all in one motion.

I'm not saying that people should switch, because i use both and even twitter here and there.  But...if they are on G+, feel free to add me.

I like Google+ a lot.  I think Facebook might have updated itself so that it has similar settings now, but on G+ you can group people together so that you only share updates with certain groups.  For instance, I have a photography circle that I share photo related stuff, a circle of just people I grew up with, etc.  If I had a bunch of kite flying contacts, I would group them into a kite circle and post kite related stuff only to them.  My photographer friends don't really care about kites that much, so they wouldn't be subject to any posts about kites (unless I posted to both circles...or all circles).

That's all been doable on facebook since well before google+ went public Wink

I'm not all geeky about my social networking sites - I figure it's the actual interactions that are important rather than some interface. So long as most folks I want to keep in touch with are on facebook, I'll stay there. If there's a mass migration, I'll move on but I certainly don't have the time to keep up with two such sites.
